The Filmmakers
We are a homeschooling family of ten. Our oldest son, who is now 19, has been making films since he was 12. His mother, sisters and younger brother joined in as the cast to bring this funny short film to life.
Behind the Scenes
“Math Madness” is based on a true story. We have always loved the Timberdoodle catalog-especially the product reviews and great service. This film is meant to give a comedic view of what really happened in our family!

Adorable Video. Love it!
I’m a mathematically-challenged homeschooling mom, so Teaching Textbooks has been a lifesaver for homeschooling my 10th grader in Algebra II!

Great video. The little boy is a star in making and it touches all the important points on Timberdoodle..
what a wonderful opportunity for kids to learn at their own pace/ not get slowed down by standard large classroom teaching. not to mention an awesome video
I love that the little one travels around to each sibling — that happens at our home as well. I also like the way the mom interacted with the son, with regard to his excitement.
Very fun!
We thought this was funny. The little boy did a great job!
I LOVE it! Fabulous! And I learned something new…we will be letting our son take the math test now too, to see if he’s ready!

Very neat and very well done! I agree with others – Ben is a star in making!! Go Davidsons!
I like how you made it up. It was creative. It is one of my favorite videos.
I like it because it is creative. I like that when he finished his Math and then he went to see what everyone else was doing. Everyone else was doing Teaching Textbooks. I like it because he wanted to do Teaching Textbooks and so he told his mom. He ran to the door and got his Teaching Textbook and waved it in the air.
Great acting. A great ad for Timberdoodle.
What a cute little boy! I think we’ll go take that test too!
)
Wonderful job! Congratulations to the entire family!
This is so cute. He really wants to be in on the action too!! Great ad for the website also.
Great stuff! Not only impressed by the video and by Timberdoodle, but by whoever keeps all those PC’s up and running!
Great quality production and simply fantastic acting. But wait. Was Ben acting? It was so natural that I could not tell if he was acting the role or living it – especially when the packing tissues were flying high in the air.
Great video! We love Teaching Textbooks and Timberdoodle! The family who made the video did a terrific job! Cute!
Well done!! It really goes into detail about what Timberdoodle offers!
(this may appear 2x by accident!)
Ben has an Academy Award coming in his future (as does Ian) for sure! Either that or a career as a Master Mathmetician!
I love the story the video tells! Great job. If Timberdoodle gets kids excited about doing math work at home, I’ll have to check it out!
ben is adorable…and that’s one *big* cat looking on!
Very well done.
Great family team work.
Great Video, he needs an agent!
The envelope please… and the winner is: Davidson family! I love the close up shots and the transitions between scenes in the video, way to go Ian. Ben is a natural super star. What an amazing cast not only great actors but also math wizards
Great piece of historical documentation. Loved the direction and family ensemble cast.
I love this! Great job, Davidson family! Your kiddos are great little actors and obviously have fun with this curricullum. I love the little guy just dying to get in on the schooling action. Well done!

This blog appears to get a good ammount of visitors. How do you get traffic to it? It offers a nice individual twist on things. I guess having something authentic or substantial to say is the most important factor.
Great info and nicely written. Keep up the wonderful stuff!
